What is Pilates?

Evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates, Pilates classes can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels & performs. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk. 

 

In Pilates the quality of movement is valued over quantity of reps. Proper breathing is essential, and helps you execute movements with power and efficiency. Last but not least, learning to breathe properly can reduce stress.

The jump-board is a wide stable add-on platform to the reformer that facilitates jumping, running and skipping/hopping exercises. A Pilates jump class provides a perfect setting for engaging in ballet-like and sport-specific movements while engaging in that meticulous Pilates form. You might even burn a few extra calories too!
